1,000 Likes Today – Hot Diggity

The little pull down gadget on the blog dashboard popped up this 1,000 total likes notice yesterday. It made me smile and I did a happy dance. Of course I tried to immediately recant, repent and all that good stuff. “It shouldn’t matter whether or not anyone likes my writing” blah, blah, blah.

Well phooey on that! It does matter…a lot. It’s the best feeling in the world to receive an indication that I’m not alone on this journey on planet earth and that I have anything to contribute that matters to others.

So today I’m sending out big hugs, and kisses and a big gigantic THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, to all you readers that take time out of your day to stop by. Because time is the most precious gift of all. It can not be purchased or traded. And no one knows how much time they have available.

I also want to thank the wonderful WordPress people who spend their days making all these fabulous gadgets to encourage us bloggers on our journey.

And then there is Mr. Husband who loves me, feeds and clothes me, provides the roof over my head, and puts up with my emotional squalls and typhoons on a daily basis. Thank you and I love you lots n lots, even more than my luggage…or my shoes…or anything else!

May the wind be always at you back and may your blog see lots of action. Hope you have a fabulous day. 🙂

  1. That’s fantastic! As a new blogger myself, I’m encouraged by your “likes”! Congrats – now I’m going to go find that little widget myself. Good luck : -)

    1. Thank you, Melanie.

  2. WOW is all I have to say! 1,000 likes? I don’t think I’ve ever got even close to that!

    1. Do you mean in one day or in total?

  3. You GO girlfriend!

    1. Thank you 🙂

  4. Congrats! You earned every click!

    1. Why thank ya, Mr. Hook 🙂

  5. I agree with you about the comment thing. I rarely leave a comment on the others where you have to go through several steps to say a few words.

    1. It is truly a pain. By the time I get through with arguing with Captcha, I’ve forgotten what I had to say. 🙂

  6. Yay for you! It is validating to get feedback on our little blogs (although with your snazzy new 1K icon, I don’t think I can rightly refer to your blog as little!). I guess it’s like the famous Field of Dreams saying, only tweaked to: if you write it, they will read. And yes, WP rocks. Every time I comment on another blog that makes me prove I’m not a robot by typing in a jumbled bunch of nonsense before accepting my comment, I get mad and think, why can’t everyone just use WP??

    1. “why can’t everyone just use WP??” My sentiments exactly. There a great Non WP blogs out there. But I balk at having to set myself on fire and then dive backwards through a flaming hoop into a pool of alphabet soup just to leave a comment. I shudder to think what I would have to do to “follow” them. Give up my right arm or sell my first born child, I suspect. And thank you much Ms. Pink, always happy when you drop by 🙂

  7. Hot dignity indeed! Congrats!

    1. That is to say *diggity* but I rather like the spell-check typo.

    2. hee hee that’s a funny typo. I like it 🙂 and thank you.

  8. It is great to get feedback. I think it would be difficult to keep going if nobody ever commented. I also think WordPress is fabulous.

    1. Oh yes! I wonder many blogs there would be if no one every said anything? Not too many I bet. 🙂
